Jason Petrides

Psychologist (Clinical Registrar)

Jason enjoys working with all presentations, however, he is particularly passionate about working with; mood, stress, anxiety, and attentional concerns, as well as major life changes including chronic or major illness health (including people with cancer) and end-of-life populations.

Jason uses a multimodal approach to therapy, usually using CBT and ACT frameworks.

Jason hopes to empower individuals through a better understanding of themselves and uncovering skills to navigate future pathways to promote positive change.

Qualifications

Jason holds full registration as a psychologist and is currently a clinical psychologist registrar with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

To date Jason has completed, a Bachelor of Psychology and Sociology (University of Sydney); a Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science (graduating on the Dean’s Merit List; Australian College of Applied Psychology); a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) achieving first-class honours (Australian College of Applied Psychology); and a Master of Clinical Psychology (University of Technology Sydney).

Jason is experienced in providing assessments and therapy, as well as research in the space. Jason has presented his research at conferences, and it has been RACGP-approved to educate medical and healthcare industries working in the palliative space.
